REGISTERED TEACHER TRAINING RYT200 / WHAT IS RYT200? A 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), must have completed a total of 200 hours of training in technique methodology, anatomy and physiology (both Eastern and Western) yoga philosophy, and teaching practice. 180 of those hours must be in at least 2 hour blocks of time with an RYT 500 or ERYT. RYT500 / WHAT IS RYT500? A 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), must have completed a total of 500 hours of advanced training. 450 contact hours, 200 of which must be with ERYT500 or equivalent, and document 100 hours of teaching experience. WHAT QUALIFIES AS CONTACT HOURS? Contact hours are 2+ hour blocks of time in which the ERYT or equivalent is training an individual or group of students.
