Why do I need to be certified by the Yoga Alliance?

To have certification through the Yoga Alliance is recognized internationally. Yoga Alliance supports yoga teachers and the diversity and integrity of yoga. Meeting the standards of the Yoga Alliance demonstrates to your students and employers that you have trained under competent and experienced teachers.

Does certification mean I am registered with the Alliance?

No. Individuals must keep a grid of their study hours and apply to the Alliance after being certified through a registered school.

Do workshops within the Teaching Certification Intensives count as RYT credit?

No. These components of the intensives are offered to advanced level students to supplement our weekly public classes but are not counted as RYT credit in the teacher certification grid for the non-enrolled student.
